TLS tools

Several tools I have used for TLS.

Excellent tool for scanning a public website to see not only how good of support for various TLS standards it supports, it also has resources for learning about TLS, and how you can better support it on your site https://www.ssllabs.com/ .

SSLyze is a python command line tool for scanning not only https sites, but also non http services to find their support of SSL/TLS protocols. I have used this tool along with testssl.sh when setting up the mosquitto server for example. Since SSLyze is a command line tool it can also be used against internal sites that are not open to the public.

testssl.sh is another handy command line tool for the bash shell.

I use the acme-tiny tool to create Let’s Encrypt server certificates for this site and for others. https://github.com/diafygi/acme-tiny
